ROHS Compliance
Welcome to Digital Way Startup ROHS, which stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances, is a directive adopted by the European Union (EU) to restrict the use of certain hazardous materials in electrical and electronic equipment. The directive aims to reduce the environmental impact of electronic products by minimizing the use of substances that are harmful to human health and the environment.
- Regulatory Framework: ROHS is a regulatory framework adopted by the EU that restricts the use of specific hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
- Restricted Substances: The directive restricts the use of six hazardous substances: lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (CrVI), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
- Compliance Declaration: Manufacturers or suppliers of electrical and electronic equipment must provide a Declaration of Conformity, declaring that their products comply with ROHS requirements.
